Smart Money aggregates top tokens with real-time buy and sell activity from Smart Traders — consistently profitable wallets with recent on-chain activity.

How to use this feature?

To start, click here (Smart Money) or go to ‘Explore → Find Gems → Smart Money’.

Here, you’ll find a list of tokens being bought in large volumes by smart traders in real time.

However, to use the Smart Money feature effectively, there are 4 key things you need to know.

#1 Group by risk profiles

Birdeye breaks smart money into clear risk profiles so you can understand who is buying and their trading style:

🔵 Risk Averse → Low risk, steady accumulation, early conviction

🟡 Risk Balancers → Medium risk, momentum with calculated exposure

🔴 Trenchers → High risk, high upside, early aggression

Important Note: Tokens in the Trenchers group do not necessarily mean high risk. It only means the token is actively traded by high-risk, high-reward traders.

#2 Overview

[1] Overview by Risk Profiles

This information helps you evaluate the performance and trading behavior of each smart trader group over the last 90 days.

Here, you will see:

  • 90d Smart Wallet Count: Number of smart traders who have traded in the last 90 days
  • 90 Avg rPnL: Average realized profit of the smart trader group over the last 90 days
  • 90 Avg Volume: Average trading volume per smart trader over the last 90 days
  • 90d Avg no. of tokens traded: Average number of tokens traded per smart trader in the last 90 days
  • 90d Avg no. of trades: Average number of trades per smart trader in the last 90 days
  • 90d Avg Rugged %: Percentage of trades involving rugged tokens in the last 90 days. Lower values indicate lower risk

[2] Overview by Token

Instead of just looking at price, this section helps you quickly assess the level of smart money interest in each token.

Net Flow: Shows whether smart money is buying or selling overall. Positive means more buying, negative means more selling.

  • No. of Traders: Indicates how many smart traders are involved in this token during the selected timeframe.

#3 Customize the Time Frame

You can adjust which token smart money accumulates most in different timeframe.

#4 Sort by Net Flow or Smart Traders

This section helps you quickly surface high-quality signals by highlighting tokens that are actively attracting smart money.

  • Sort by Net Flow: Prioritize tokens with strong capital inflows
  • Sort by Smart Traders: Prioritize tokens that attract interest from a large number of smart traders.
